Oh man, I love a newborn session. Don’t you?

This was my first time working with the Futch Family. Lauren and Justin were so sweet and friendly over e-mail so it was great to finally meet them in person! They are an adorable little family. Maggie, their dog even came to the studio for the session. Maggie was so calm and did surprisingly well during the session – good girl, Maggie! 

We took their family photos at my studio in Houston, Texas. I love shooting there for a lot of reasons, but one of my favorite parts about it is the natural light. It’s so perfect for any session! Along with the natural light, my studio has antique finishes, and a clean, natural aesthetic. It’s kind of the best location. (I know, I’m a little biased.) 

Lauren brought a blue bow for the swaddles and it turned out so cute! Baby Sam was so cute and did great at the session – slept nearly the whole time! I count my lucky stars when newborns sleep during the session because it makes for some really adorable photos. We had a lot of fun incorporating Maggie into some shots. (Again, she was such a good girl!) Justin and Lauren were so calm and relaxed at the session, which played a big part as to why it went so well. Have I mentioned recently that I love my clients? I do. 

To top off the whole experience, Lauren let me know that she cried when she saw her gallery for the first time. Honestly, nothing makes me love my job more than seeing a new mom LOVE her gallery. I don’t think there is a better feeling in the world than capturing special moments that my clients will love forever.
