Having a client refer me to someone they know is always such an honor. I work hard to give my clients a stress-free experience and referrals are so reassuring and uplifting. I was referred to the Daigle family by a client that I have loved working with and I am so thankful! Erica and Peirce were so relaxed during this newborn session and just really nice to be around. They warmly welcomed me into their home and baby Vance did so well!

The Daigle’s beautiful home is located in the Shady Acres/Houston Heights area of Houston and was a perfect space for these newborn photos. Their primary bedroom was a great spot for the session because it had tons of natural light and a clean, beautiful aesthetic. They also had a sweet, white bassinet from Pottery Barn that was perfect for photos. So glad we were able to incorporate it into some of the shots! For in-home newborn sessions, I always bring my backdrop, swaddles, hats/headbands for baby. Sometimes the little details make a huge difference!

We started with some family shots and then did baby Vance’s portraits right after. For the family photos, we were able to include their pup, Banks! He was so fluffy and sweet. I love when clients want to include their doggies! Banks was so well behaved.

For baby Vance’s portraits, we stuck with the clean bright aesthetic. He was actually sleeping by the end of the family shots so it worked out great. Vance was such a champ and did not fuss at all. He is beyond adorable. That hair! So sweet.

Erica’s mom and dad were there to help and it is always nice to have an extra pair (or two) of hands at newborn sessions! At the end of the session, we did some grandparent shots which I am always happy to do! I want to capture whatever memories you want to create.

I brought Erica a few dress options from the studio and she chose a gorgeous, white dress that was perfect on her! My curated wardrobe options are available for use at all of my sessions, including in-home. I want mom to feel her absolute best, no matter where we are. I loved Erica and Peirce’s neutral, classic wardrobe choices. Everything came together so beautifully!

I enjoyed working with the Daigle family so much and capturing their family was pure joy. I am looking forward to working with them again in the future!
