Milestones

All the milestones you never want to forget, from crawling to first steps!

These two were so fun to be around! I absolutely loved working with them. They are expecting a baby boy and Favvin is 32 weeks along. She used to be a dancer so was totally up for a mid-session wardrobe change at 32 weeks pregnant, which is pretty amazing! They are of Ethiopoian descent. They told me they are waiting to publicly share their baby boy’s name, but they talked about the custom name art that will go in his nursery. Favvin said they can’t wait to include it in some of their newborn images. Their little guy will have two pretty wonderful parents!

We decided to take their maternity pictures at The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center. The whole place was blooming and so green, which was so different from a few weeks ago when I was here. There were lovely yellow flowers in bloom and the light was perfect. There is lots of wildlife at the Arboretum–– we even saw a rabbit and a snake! Eek! The 610 entrance part of the park was closed but we had no issue finding perfect scenery on the other side of the paths. The weather was also great for us. Thankfully, the heat hasn’t come to Houston full blast yet!

The Ayele’s were naturals at the session. Favvin talked about how much she hates being in front of the camera, but she made these photos look so effortless and beautiful. I mean, isn’t she gorgeous? She later said it was completely painless and she even enjoyed it! I took that as the highest of compliments! I always want my clients to feel at home during their shoots. We joked around a lot and they gave me so many natural smiles with ease. They were amazing to work with and I look forward to capturing their future family milestones!
