I’m so excited to share these gorgeous family photos of the Hyder Family! It was such a pleasure to work with Sara, Scott, and their three children. Family sessions are some of my favorite because you can really capture the emotions of each family member, especially with little kids. There is so much personality that I love to catch on camera!

Sara and Scott have three beautiful children that were so fun to be around! Sara is a New England native turned Texan. Their youngest baby was born in July and this was their first time taking photos as a family of 5! We had a great time capturing candid moments and exploring the natural surroundings. Aren’t they just the cutest little kids? I nearly died over the little girls matching dresses!

We decided to take The Hyder’s photos at Memorial Park in Houston, Texas. It’s a huge park, but I have a favorite spot that gets perfect light in the evening. It’s a great spot for families because there is plenty of space for moving around. There is access to a path that is remote and lovely. We walked around that for a while and got some gorgeous shots of Sara, Scott, and their kids. They wore perfect colors for the location too!

Lots of fun was had dancing (twirling especially) and loving on mom and dad! Taking family photos with little kids can be stressful, but it’s important to just let kids be themselves! Sara and Scott were great at just going with the flow and enjoying time with their kids. We even made sure to grab a few shots of just mom and dad – they deserve their special time too!

I love this photoshoot because you can tell from these images that the Hyder family are naturals at taking photos. They were up for exploring new areas, which I always appreciate as a photographer. It’s important to me that my clients trust me, and it’s so much fun when they do! The kids were champs and so well-behaved. It was all of these reasons that made for such an amazing shoot!
